A 6-MHz clocked MSP processor, with 54kB Flash Memory and 6kB RAM, controls the modules. The advantage of using the MSP processor is that, together with a tailored hardware design, very low-power performance can be reached. When running in the lowest power mode (with all modules switch off or in the sleep mode) the power consumption can go as low as 170µAh. This enables applications where no external power supply is available. See the principal block diagram below.
Inside the LM130
- Motorola G24 quad band module (class-B, Multy-slot class 10)
- High sensitive GPS receiver (supports NMEA - 9600 b/s)
- Sensitive Accelerometer (X/Y dimension)
- 5 Processor evalutated and controlled LED’s (Charge, Power, Network, Report, 1PPS)
- Operating voltage 12-42V, load dump protected
- Integrated I-Button interface (unique driver identification)
- Battery Charger & Power Management
- Three high voltage protected inputs ( 6 - 42 V )
- All inputs are fully automotive protected
- 1 dedicated input for Ignition - Supports / Generates low power mode
- 2 general inputs (digital/analog/counters)
- 1 MOSFET driven Output (Power Supply @ 2A)
- 1 serial communication channel
- One connector – All connected principle
- SIM Card Holder
Connecting the LM130
- SMA antenna connectors (GSM & active 3.3V GPS)
- Robust All-In-One Connector – 12 Pins
- Inputs: 1 Ignition & 2 general inputs (digital/analog/counters)
- Output:1 MOSFET driven Output (Power Supply @ 2A)
- Power: main supply 12/24/42V systems
- Com Port: full duplex RS232, RTS/CTS, 1.2-115k bps
- iButton - One wire
Functionality of the LM130
- GPRS based Tracking & Tracing
- TCP or UDP socket for main server and Back-Up server
- Separate UDP socket for logging server
- Ping Controls
- Taylored report format definition (such as: verbose, terse, Id's, GPS extractions, digital/analog input status, output status,
accelerometer, i-button, user specific report field)
- Adjustable Time-Scheduled report with full status, coordinates, sensor status, and control outputs
- Adjustable Elapsed Distance report (example: every 10 km a full status report is send to Remote server)
- Flexible awake /sleep conditions )
- Extensive alarming system (like: ignition, start/stop, geo-fencing, input triggers, motion sensor, counter, low battery)
- Geo fencing (up to 8 fences - entering or leaving)
- Text messages from attached terminal to server or from server to attached terminal
- Report / Alarm storage in case of no GPRS coverage, main server down, or during Voice call
- Remote commands to adjust user settings and output controls
- Emengency SMS-based remote command support
